About Me
I am a licensed psychologist and psychotherapist, and a candidate in psychoanalysis, practicing in New York City. I view psychotherapy as a process of self-discovery that is experienced in relationship with a caring professional. I endeavor to provide a collaborative and culturally-sensitive treatment experience. My areas of expertise include working with individuals with identity development concerns; sexual orientation, cultural identity and multicultural concerns; working with creative artists and with career development issues; intimacy and trust concerns related to relational trauma; and working with individuals in adjusting to stage-of-life transitions.
I have a therapeutic style that blends relational psychoanalytic and person-centered approaches. In addition to my private practice, I have served as a clinical professor at Fordham University, teaching psychology doctoral students the art and science of psychotherapy, and supervising psychologists-in-training on their clinical work.
Clinicians seeking psychotherapy supervision are welcome to contact me to discuss my supervisory services.
